Yorkshire Centre for Wellbeing is a mindfulness and wellbeing hub in North Yorkshire, with leading teachers in yoga, pilates, meditation, and tai-chi.
About the Activity
This class is available via zoom and in the studio.
There is no greater expression of self-love than anointing ourselves from head to toe with warm oil—this practice is called Abhyanga.
The Sanskrit word Sneha can be translated as both “oil” and “love.” It is believed that the effects of Abhyanga are similar to those received when one is saturated with love. Like the experience of being loved, Abhyanga can give a deep feeling of stability and warmth.
We also work with our Face pressure points which correspond to the Nadis (energy channels running through our body - so it is a form of needless acupuncture) for this we can use crystals and an aromatherapy oil
The class is suitable for all and in particular for those with more chronic issues such as back pain, arthritis, headaches, migraines, anxiety, stress and respiratory disorders; you will learn how to better manage these conditions naturally.
